ARC REVIEW: Tempting Fate by Gwen Kleist

Tempting Fate by Gwen Kleist

Release Date: September 22, 2021
Format: eARC

Tempting Fate by Gwen Kleist is a fun, cute romance read set in one of the most famous cities in the world. Carrie, the main character, is only in Las Vegas to land the Grand Portofino Resort and Casino as a client for her PR firm. She ends up running into a handsome (yet incredibly irritating) stranger and gets stuck in both an elevator and a revolving door with him. Things get much more complicated once she finds out that said handsome stranger is the one she has to pitch to. What could go wrong?

Despite all the signs that say a relationship may not be the best idea, I think Jack and Carrie truly are meant for each other. The dialogue between the two is amazing, and the tension between them is so thick it’s palpable. The steam level in this book is HOT - you get a very spicy scene between Carrie and Jack less than four chapters into the book! I really enjoyed how their relationship progressed and how the ending turned out - no spoilers though, so you’ll have to read the book to find out more.

If you love entertaining enjoyable romance reads then Tempting Fate is for you. The pages fly by quickly, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you end up finishing it in one sitting. I’m eager to see what else Ms. Kleist releases in the future!

Thank you to the author, Wild Rose Press, NetGalley, and The Next Step PR for allowing me to read an early copy of this book at no cost to myself. I voluntarily read and reviewed Tempting Fate; all opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.
